Feminine power is not inferior to but different from the male principle of power. Unfortunately, in a world designed largely by and for men, feminine power is routinely shamed, shunned and feared. To succeed in the modern world, we as women often tend to compromise too much of our feminine essence. Women have been gathering in circles since the beginning of time. In ancient cultures, knowledge was passed down orally within generations, cultures and communities. Thus, coming together to share experiences, stories, prayers, wisdom and worries greatly contributed to their well-being. And it was not only to the well-being of women, but also the evolution of culture at large. Contemporary urbanizing culture is seeing a revival of this ancient tradition. Women circles are all-female gatherings involving embodied practices, rituals, intention setting, learning and sharing in a judgement-free atmosphere.
